Fraud prevention needs a collaboration power-up
By André Ferraz, CEO and Co-Founder at Incognia
Many platforms deal with their fraud problems in isolation.
They’re not collaborating with other platforms to better defend themselves.
But working together can help everyone.
Earlier this year, Incognia launched a private fraud prevention workshop for delivery and ride-hailing platforms.
We call it the Platform Integrity Network—PIN.
Watching industry experts from different platforms share intel and insights with each other behind closed doors was really exciting and rewarding. Some of the platforms were even competitors.
That experience reinforced something I believe deeply:
Collaboration is powerful for fraud prevention.
Imagine an industry where a fraudster gets blocked on one platform, and that platform shares that fraudster’s information with the other platforms in the industry.
That fraudster has nowhere left to go. No more customers to defraud.
Before long, they’ll probably start targeting a different industry.
That’s a win for everyone.
Rising tides lift all ships, and the combined power of an industry’s fraud prevention experts is one powerful tide.
Can you think of any platforms or fellow fraud fighters in your industry that you could build this kind of relationship with?
It might be time to reach out with a value proposition:
Less fraud. For everyone.
